Were you one of the first students or members of staff to study or work at the school when it opened its doors in Upminster in 1971? If so, you will know that was 50 years ago this coming September.
A big celebration to mark 50 years of the whole school’s move from Bow is being planned for 2023, when we feel sure that the continuance of the school’s history beginning in 1536 can be celebrated without the current Covid restrictions. However, this year we would like to commemorate those early days!
We would love to hear from you with anecdotal stories, photos, friendship groups etc., and plan to use these as a message board on the school website this year, and incorporate all your wonderful stories and photos when we invite you to join in the big celebration in two years’ time.
Please email anything of interest to Karen Pack and Marilyn Paolino, school archivists at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have any items of interest that you would like to donate to our extensive archive collection please send them to the school.
