Independent Learning Resources to Support Students
We believe passionately that students need to be taught and supported to learn independently and to make the transition from Year 11 to becoming a 6th Former.
As such, we offer:
- A timetabled assessment lesson for every A Level subject once a fortnight. These are used for timed assessments, practice questions and pre-assessment work. These will take place in silent study conditions, set by subject tutors. This is to help students become familiar with the format of assessments in each subject.
- Timetabled independent study sessions in our dedicated Learning Zone for our students to investigate their A Level content above and beyond the prescribed curriculum.
- Before and after-school access to facilities and staff to help maximise the use of student’s productive time.
- Bespoke support where necessary to help students work towards their goals or in the run-up to formal assessments
