Information and Applications for September 2025

In this section of the website you will find a wealth of important information regarding the Sixth Form, and how to apply to join us as a Sixth Form student in September 2025.

Our Sixth Form Open Evening was held on Wednesday 20th November. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any further tours of the school. Applications have now closed and we are currently in the process of obtaining school references for students. Students who have made an application will be contacted after February half term with an update on their application.

If you have not already applied, you will still have the opportunity to do so on GCSE results day. This page will be updated later in the academic year with information on how to make this application. Please be assured we do not make any firm offers until GCSE results’ day.

We also recommend that you spend some time looking at all sections of the website so that you can gain a fuller picture of what our Sixth Form is like.

The Coopers’ Company and Coborn School is a dynamic, inclusive and co-educational school. A Proud History

The school is also very proud of its history and traditions, dating back to 1536. You can find out more about the history of the school in our prospectus but we want to draw your attention to our link with The Worshipful Company of Coopers. This link to an ancient livery company gives us a unique aspect – through which additional support and opportunities are available to our students. It is things like this which make Coopers’ Coborn such a fantastic place; it is the wealth of opportunity and experience which we can offer.

Striving For Perfection

You have an important decision to make: to decide if Coopers’ Coborn Sixth Form is right for you. We have high expectations of behaviour, appearance, effort and attitude. We are uncompromising in our desire to ensure all our students succeed. We are not perfect, yet. We aim to be self-improving and we are constantly striving to be better; something we tell our students to do all the time.

Most importantly, we are a community: a community bound together by the idea of ‘Love as Brethren’, that you treat everyone as though they were members of your own family.
