PARENTS & FRIENDS ASSOCIATION
Welcome to the Coopers Coborn Parents & Friends Association page.
The PFA is a friendly group of parents who raise funds for the school. We fund purchases right across the departments – recent examples include minibuses, food tech equipment, high tech science equipment, refurbishment of the gym, gymnastics vault, sprinting hurdles, learning aids for the mathematics classrooms, lighting equipment for the school theatre, iPads and furnishing for the SEN department, printing equipment for the art department, board games for lunchtime clubs, all-weather seating and canopy for lunchtimes and much more.
It is important that the PFA has enough support from parents to keep going strong and to keep making money for the school. See below for some of our fundraising activities. You can be part of it – it’s so easy and students benefit across all years and departments. At the current time with so many restrictions on our usual events due to Covid-19, we particularly hope that you will consider joining our 500 Club, the easyfundraising site for shopping, Amazon Smile and the Sainsburys shopping scheme.
Please follow us on Facebook – search Coopers Coborn Parents Association – for all our latest information.
We are always looking for parents to join the PFA, please feel free to come along to our monthly meetings which are currently held by Zoom.
The 500 Club
The PFA’s very own lottery – it’s easy to get involved and for only £1 per month! Sign up via the School Shop, it takes minutes. Or alternatively email us for a form and a number; then return it with a cheque or set up a payment from your online bank account – £1 per month, £6 for 6 months or £12 for 12 months. We have a monthly draw where half the money raised goes to the PFA for spending on your children and half is used for prize money.
Contact us at CCCS_500Club@yahoo.com for further details.
Adventure Island Tickets
We sell discounted tickets to Adventure Island (blue bands for over 1.2m in height) – £16.50 each. Please contact us on 07714 263229 for further details and to arrange collection. Payment may be made via the school shop and we also accept cash.
Every Easter we organise a Grand Draw with great cash prizes. Also, look out for our special Christmas Draw 2020 for another way to earn a cash prize and help the school at the same time.
The easyfundraising portal is such an easy way to raise funds for the school whenever you are shopping online. You simply sign up at www.easyfundraising.org.uk, then whenever you shop online go into this site first – it will transfer you to the site you are shopping from and we get a small donation from each purchase. You can shop at many retailers, for example Amazon, M&S, John Lewis, eBay, and hundreds of others both big and small.
By making a one-time change to your Amazon account, you can arrange for 0.5% of all your purchases to be donated to the Coopers’ Coborn Parents’ Association. In order to sign up, simply click on smile.amazon.co.uk, and choose Coopers Coborn Parents Association as your nominated charity. It’s that simple!
