Leadership Team

The School is led by the Headteacher, Ms Sue Hay, with a Senior Leadership Team of five.

Ms Sue Hay – Headteacher

Sue was appointed as Headteacher in March 2019. Sue began at the school in 2013 as Deputy Head in charge of teaching and learning, having worked in a wide range of educational contexts. She has overall responsibility for academic standards in the school, and directly line manages a range of subjects. Sue’s specialism is History.

Mr Rob Bell – Deputy Headteacher & Director of Sixth Form i/c Years 12 & 13

Rob returned to the school in 2010 after being a student in the early 1990s. Rob runs the Sixth Form, oversees the whole-school pastoral system and is also responsible for line managing attendance as well as a number of subject areas in the school. Rob’s subject specialism is History.

Mr James Dudley-Hart – Assistant Headteacher i/c of Years 7, 8, and 9

James joined as Head of History in 2013 and became Assistant Headteacher in 2017. James is responsible for Years 7, 8, and 9, academic transition between Key Stage 2 and 3, as well as supervising NQTs and trainee teachers.

Mark Duncan – Assistant Headteacher i/c of Years 10 & 11

Mark is a past student and returned as a member of staff in 2007. He is in charge of the extra-curricular provision within the school. In addition he is the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and is responsible for public examinations. Mark’s subject specialism is PE.

Mrs Marie-Jose Harris – Assistant Headteacher i/c of Timetable, Curriculum and Data Management

Jose joined the school in 2006 as a Maths teacher i/c of KS3. She heads up our curriculum provision and is in charge of developing the school curriculum as well as our timetable. She is now also responsible for IT across the school and is the school’s Data Protection Officer.

Mrs Rachna Carron – Assistant Headteacher i/c of Safeguarding & Inclusion, SEN Coordinator

Rachna joined the school as a Geography teacher in 2010 and has taught both Geography and Business, although her passion is Geography fieldwork. Rachna is the SLT Designated Safeguarding Lead, and is the SENCo. She also line manages the Pupil Premium / Education Welfare Attendance Officer.
