In this section you will find a wealth of important information regarding your induction into our 6th Form for September 2021.

Usually, all of this information would be communicated to you face to face, during a traditional induction event. However, this year we are having to approach events in a slightly different way We would certainly recommend that you spend some time looking at all sections of the website so that you can gain a fuller picture of what this exceptional school is like. To start, with, please watch the 2 videos below:

Mission Statement

The Coopers’ Company and Coborn School is a dynamic, inclusive, co-educational school. Inspired by our historic tradition of ‘Love as Brethren’, we strive to be outstanding in everything we do, producing young people who have the confidence, qualifications, experience and aspiration to be successful in the 21st Century world.

So, now you know us, it’s time to get subject specific… Narrowing from 10+ subjects to just three is a real challenge, so we’ve put together some specific induction materials in each of the A Level subjects that you are completing.

For each subject you are taking we want you to watch a ‘taster session’ and complete ‘academic transition tasks’. We have also provided you with a ‘curriculum map’ so you can see what you will be studying over the course of the next 2 years.

Each of the taster session videos get you to experience the subject and hear from some of the staff who you will be working with in September. Once you’ve watched the taster sessions for your three A Levels you need to start thinking about the summer learning (we call them ‘academic transition tasks’) which we have asked you to complete before September. This is important as the tasks have been designed to give you the very best start to your A Level courses. Indeed, your teachers will expect you to bring the work from these summer academic transition tasks with you at the start of the academic year. Please note some of the academic transition tasks also have supporting documents and you will find these below. We understand that you may not complete the transition tasks until after you have been formally admitted into the 6th Form after GCSE results have been released.

It’s also really important that we provide you with some information as well.

In the list below you will find some of the other information we would like you to look at before September.
