In this section of the website you will find a wealth of important information regarding the school, and how to apply to join us as a 6th Form student in September 2021.

Usually, all of this information would be communicated to you face to face, during a traditional school open evening. However, this year we are having to approach events in a slightly different way. Do please be assured that you will still be able to access all the relevant information you need to make an informed choice about whether The Coopers’ Company and Coborn School is the right 6th Form for you. We would certainly recommend that you spend some time looking at all sections of the website so that you can gain a fuller picture of what this exceptional school is like.

Mission Statement

The Coopers’ Company and Coborn School is a dynamic, inclusive, co-educational school. Inspired by our historic tradition of ‘Love as Brethren’, we strive to be outstanding in everything we do, producing young people who have the confidence, qualifications, experience and aspiration to be successful in the 21st Century world.

The school is also very proud of its history and traditions, dating back to 1536. You can find out more about the history of the school in our prospectus but we want to draw your attention to our link with The Worshipful Company of Coopers. This link to an ancient livery company gives us a unique aspect – through which additional support and opportunities are available to our students. It is things like this which make Coopers’ Coborn such a fantastic place; it is the wealth of opportunity and experience which we can offer.

You have an important decision to make: to decide if Coopers’ Coborn 6th Form is right for you. We have high expectations of behaviour, appearance, effort and attitude. We are uncompromising in our desire to ensure all our students succeed. We are not perfect, yet. We aim to be self-improving and we are constantly striving to be better; something we tell our students to do all the time.

Most importantly we are a community: a community bound together by the idea of ‘Love as Brethren’, that you treat everyone as though they were members of your own family. We are hugely proud of this school, the students and the staff, and we know that if you join our community you will share these values and pride.
