As a Year 7 student
The Coopers’ Company and Coborn School enjoys an excellent reputation locally and nationally. The School is designated as having a religious character and seeks to uphold the Christian principles embodied in The Coopers’ Company motto ‘Love as Brethren’.
We have a reputation for being a School that cares for all members of its community. We welcome students from all backgrounds and cultures, we only ask that they possess inquiring minds and the enthusiasm and determination to do their best.
If you would like to appeal your school placement decision, in the first instance you will need to write to the Admissions Secretary with the student’s full name, address and date of birth. You application will then be checked by the School Governors and an Appeal Pack will be sent to you along with a letter explaining why your application was not successful.
Year 7 2021/2022
For Admission into Year 7 September 2021 we will be holding a ‘Virtual Open Evening’ and this will be available week commencing 21st September 2020. Applications for Year 7 will be available from this date and the closing date for applications is Friday 30th October 2020.
Sport / Music Aptitude Tests
The sport and music aptitude tests will take place on Sunday 11th October 2020 with call backs on Wednesday 21st October 2020. Applications for both sport and music will close on 2nd October 2020 and shortly after this date all students who have applied will receive an appointment time for the day. The school will put in place a Covid-19 back-up day if any students are self-isolating and appropriate evidence can be provided for this. They will be offered one alternative date to complete the aptitude assessment.
PLEASE NOTE :
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we understand that regular attendance at a place of worship may not be possible from March 2020 onwards. Therefore, we will accept letters from Religious Leaders stating that your child met the religious criteria commitment (as detailed on our Admissions Policy) from, at least October 2018 until March 2020.
