The Art department was successful in winning a bid to exhibit work at Upminster Library. 22 Lino Prints from Years 10 and 11 were selected and shown to the public between the 4th and the 18th February. The method is called REDUCTION PRINTING as each layer is carefully engraved from the lino block and printed on top of the previous colour. We are now hoping to exhibit a larger number of prints in the Frances Bardsley Arts Centre in the Autumn. |

We were inspected by Ofsted on the 28th and 29th of February 2008. The outcomes were most encouraging and we are described as "a good school with outstanding features." See the full report here |
Congratulations to Rhea Randhawa who scooped the first prize in this year's Junior Artist of the Year competition, with her acrylic painting 'Reflections'. (Photo reproduced with permission from Issue 79 of Havering Council's Living magazine) The competition, organised by Havering Arts Team, is aimed at the borough's younger students and acts as a sister competition to the popular Havering Young Artist of the Year.
