The school is led by the Headteacher, David Mansfield, with a Senior Leadership Team of four – two Deputy Heads (David Parry and Dave Threadgold), an Assistant Head (Stephen Lawlor) and Bursar (Steve Hogan). We recently established a new structure of ten Faculties and the Sixth Form, each with its own Director and seven Heads of Year to oversee student progress across the year groups.

The Directors and SLT make up the Faculty Board. They decide on Teaching & Learning strategies and ensure uniform implementation of policy. Their brief is essentially to monitor the quality of teaching and learning and ensure pupil progress is at least in line with expectation based on prior attainment data.

The School is governed by its Board of 22 Governors. The Chairman is Dr Ian Frood. The board meets four times a year and has sub-committees: Curriculum, Personnel, Admissions, Accommodation, Health and Safety, and Finance & General Purposes. In addition, a Strategy Group meets on an ad hoc basis. We also have a Board of 14 Foundation Governors representing the Coopers Company who own the site and buildings.
