These rules will keep everyone safe and help us to be fair to others:

  • Only use the school’s computers for schoolwork, homework and as directed.

  • Keep logins, IDs and passwords secret.
  • Use the Internet responsibly and not visit web sites that are banned by the school. During lessons only visit web sites that are appropriate for studies.
  • Only e-mail people known to you, or those approved by your teachers.
  • Messages or uploaded information should always be polite and sensible.
  • Do not open attachments, or download a file, unless permission has been granted or you know and trust the person that has sent them.
  • Do not give your home address, phone number, send photographs or video, or give any other personal information that could be used to identify you, your family or friends, unless a trusted adult has given permission.
  • Never arrange to meet someone you have only ever previously met on the Internet or by email or in a chat room, unless a trusted adult is accompanying you.
  • If you see anything you are unhappy with or receive a message you do not like, do not respond to it but will save it and talk to a teacher / trusted adult.
